भारतीय जनता युवा मोर्चा के तत्वाधान में 14 जुलाई को प्रदेश अध्यक्ष कुंदन लटवाल के आह्वान में अल्मोडा़ जिले में वृक्षारोपण का कार्यक्रम नगर में विभिन्न स्थानों पर किया गया। यह मुहिम 6 जुलाई 2020 से 16 जुलाई 2020 तक पूरे प्रदेश में चलाई जा रही है जिसमें युवा मोर्चा द्वारा पूरे प्रदेश में वृक्षारोपण कार्यक्रम चलाया जाएगा।
इस कार्यक्रम में पर्यावरण संबंधित विषय पर भी चर्चा की गई। वनों का संतुलन बनाये रखने के लिए व वातावरण स्वच्छ रखने के लिए पूर्व छात्रसंघ अध्यक्ष देवाशीष नेगी ने लोगों को प्रेरित किया एवं भविष्य की रक्षा के लिए अधिक से अधिक पेड़ लगाने का आह्वान किया। कार्यक्रम में प्रकाश बिष्ट,कमलेश नेगी,गौरव किशोर,हिमांशु बिष्ट, पंकज मेहता, पंकज कनवाल, मनोज रावत, पूर्व छात्रसंघ उपसचिव रजत मेहरा,राकेश भंडारी,दीपक कनवाल,चन्दन बहुगुणा व वर्तमान छात्रसंघ उपसचिव दीपक तिवारी,रमेश मेर, अमित कनवाल आदि मौजूद रहे। कार्यक्रम का संचालन विधायक प्रतिनिधि पूर्व छात्रसंघ अध्यक्ष देवाशीष नेगी ने किया।
